Wound Care Hires seeks a Director of Wound Care to lead clinical and operational strategy across multiple states, including Kentucky, with regular facility travel. The role owns advanced wound procedures, clinical protocols, and KPI oversight for the wound care service line.

You will mentor wound care NPs, drive program growth, and collaborate with leadership to integrate wound care into value-based care models. Leadership and wound care certification are essential.

Competenze

• Active, unrestricted NP license in Kentucky, West Virginia, or Ohio; multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
• Board certification in Wound Care (e.g., WCC, CWCN, CWS or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of wound care clinical experience, including debridement and skin graft procedures.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a clinical leadership, supervisory, or program management role overseeing clinicians.
• Experience delivering wound care in skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care settings.
• Working knowledge of CMS documentation and billing for debridement and graft procedures.

• Maintain clinical competency and oversee advanced wound care procedures (debridement and grafts) to standard.
• Establish clinical protocols for wound assessment, staging, planning, and escalation per guidelines.
• Ensure diagnostic workups (labs, imaging, cultures) are ordered as needed to identify underlying causes.
• Manage comorbidities impacting wound healing with appropriate referrals.
• Provide mentorship and case oversight to wound care NPs; review complex wounds.
• Ensure documentation supports medical necessity, coding, and billing.
