Job summary

Healogics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide and coordinate both clinical and non-clinical services under the direction of the RN or Provider. The role includes clerical support to the WCC staff and adherence to hospital and CMS guidelines.

The CMA will perform intake tasks, vitals collection, wound measurements, and data entry while assisting in vein and hyperbaric clinic duties as trained. A CMA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program approved by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Current CMA certification maintained throughout employment.
• 6+ months of related acute hospital/rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-certification duties: obtain referrals, verify coverage and obtain authorization for initial visit.
• Assist RN/LPN during intake/discharge: record vitals, wound measurements, and patient data.
• Track visit information and document in databases and hospital systems.
• Support Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy duties after training completion.
• Perform clerical duties: phones, scheduling, insurance verification, charting.
• Enter data, reconcile charges, and maintain office equipment and supplies.
