Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Healogics Wound Care team in a full-time role. The position includes a mix of inpatient and outpatient care with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule at CDH and Marianjoy.

The role requires a Master’s degree (Nursing APRN or PA), acute care certification, and a current Illinois APRN/PA license. Inpatient experience may substitute for acute care certification. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing college or PA program.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs (inpatient experience may substitute).
• Current Illinois APRN or PA license with credentialing through NM MSO.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care and manage treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and orders; interpret labs and imaging as clinically appropriate.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
