Job summary

The Salvation Army in Chicago is seeking a part-time Music Ministry Instructor to lead the LTMB program, teach theory and performance (brass, vocals, guitar, piano, ukulele) and support worship and arts at the corps.

You will work with children and adults, plan lessons, and participate in Sunday worship activities. A minimum of 2 years music experience is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years music experience working with children/adults.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or working towards a degree in music.
• Proficiency in music theory and instrument(s).
• Valid driver’s license/MVR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train future leaders in Music and Creative Arts ministry.
• Teach and spread the Gospel through music and arts.
• Begin each class with a prayer and scripture.
