Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Global Engineering Process Lead, Sr. Manager to optimize engineering processes across its global Product Line teams. The role focuses on reducing design cycle times, improving quality, and leveraging AI and digital tools for scalable development.

Based onsite in Westerville, OH or Novi, MI, the candidate will champion standardized methodologies such as DFSS, FMEA, and requirements traceability, while collaborating with engineering leaders and tool owners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
• Certifications in DFSS, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies are highly desirable.
• 10–15 years of engineering experience with focus on engineering process improvement, product development, design quality, and engineering operational excellence.
• Experience implementing and driving DFSS, requirements traceability, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), risk management, verification and validation, and continuous improvement in engineering.
• Experience establishing and improving end-to-end requirements traceability across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience evaluating or leading adoption of AI-enabled engineering tools and digital platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities with engineering leaders globally.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision; able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Improve engineering efficiency by identifying best practices and streamlining workflows to reduce design cycle times.
• Standardize engineering processes across product lines, drive DFSS, FMEA, and requirements traceability for quality and scalability.
• Promote and deploy AI-enabled engineering solutions and digital technologies to automate workflows and knowledge management.
• Collaborate with tool owners, quality leaders, and systems teams to ensure alignment of processes with PLM, simulation tools, and AI platforms while maintaining traceability.
• Define, track, and improve key engineering metrics such as cycle time, productivity, rework, and release efficiency.
