Job summary

Vertiv seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead multiple projects in the Thermal BU focused on Ironton OH operations, including product transfers, NPDI, and capital improvements to standardize processes across Vertiv plants.

This onsite role collaborates with Design Engineering, Program Manager and Operations to coordinate NPDI milestones and deliverables, supporting facilities in Ironton and Franklin Furnace, OH.

Qualifications

• Minimum: BSME/IE/Business Operations Management with 3–5 years manufacturing exp, or 10+ years in high-mix production.
• Preferred: MSME/IE/MBA and 5+ years Advanced Manufacturing experience
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications

Responsibilities

• Work with Line of Business Leaders to align manufacturing plans with Product Roadmaps.
• Oversee End of Line Testing Equipment, parameters, scripts and Capex.
• Lead and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program
• Lead and provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
• Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
• Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint associated
• Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
• Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process
• Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT
• Accountable and Supportive Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering
• Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition
• Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
• Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.
