Job summary

Vertiv in Novi, MI is seeking a Global Engineering Process Lead, Sr. Manager to optimize engineering processes across global Product Line teams.

You will drive efficiency, shorten design cycles, and improve product reliability by applying DFSS, traceability, FMEA, and AI-enabled tools within a scalable process framework. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and tool owners to align processes with PLM systems and digital workflows, define metrics, and champion continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master’s preferred.
Certifications in DFSS, Lean, Six Sigma desirable.
10–15 years of engineering experience focused on process improvement and product development.
Experience implementing DFSS, traceability, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), risk management, and V&V in engineering orgs.
Experience establishing end-to-end requirements management and traceability across multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience adopting AI-enabled engineering tools, digital platforms, and analytics.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to travel internationally and influence global teams.

Responsibilities

Improve engineering efficiency by identifying best practices and streamlining workflows to reduce cycle times.
Standardize processes across product lines with DFSS, FMEA, and governance to boost quality and scalability.
Promote AI-enabled solutions and digital tools to automate workflows and support design activities.
Collaborate with tool owners, quality, and systems teams to align processes with PLM and data governance.
Define, track and improve key engineering metrics such as cycle time, productivity, and traceability compliance.
