Job Title: Workstation Support Analyst III/SCCM Desktop Engineer

Location: Jackson, MI (Remote, with occasional reporting to Jackson for collaboration)

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Local to Michigan Only on W2.

Department:

Team owns SCCM - Level III support team

3rd level support for the state platform, managing application packaging and software distribution teams utilizing SCCM

Currently expanding into operations technology areas controlling gas and electric sectors, managing devices for CMS Energy systems

Team consists of MS engineers available as resources

The team has identified over 80 packages requiring applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage software packages, ensuring updates and multiple versions are handled efficiently
• Expertise in SCCM for packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting independently
• Work with standard Dell laptops
• Package and deploy applications
• Streamline packaging processes
• Support laptops and application support
• Use scripting tools to automate task sequences
• Adjust settings as needed when working with employees and vendors
• Perform user acceptance testing post-installation
• Identify missing packages and perform necessary work
• Troubleshoot connection issues, installation failures, and hardware/software problems
• Engage with vendors
• Design packages based on manual installation procedures, including configuration, testing, and sign-off
• Handle complex tickets involving hardware, software, ports, drivers, and customizations like SCADA

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of packaging processes; software functionality not required
• Expertise in SCCM packaging and deployment
• PowerShell experience beneficial
• Good understanding of MS Windows operating systems
