Job summary

TechnipFMC in Midland, Texas, is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform varied and more complex assembly and testing of mechanical/hydraulic assemblies. You will read and interpret drawings and technical documentation, prepare test stations, and participate in factory and system acceptance testing.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years of field experience, and the ability to use complex tools and techniques such as FAT and gas testing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma.
  • 3 years of experience in field.
  • Proficiency to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation in assembly.
  • Knowledge/use of complex tools, equipment and techniques (e.g. FAT, Gas testing, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and tests assemblies according to specifications. Applies advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise.
  • Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and NCRs. Assists with FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SITs (System Integration Tests)
  • Assists in preparing, maintaining and utilizing test stations and test equipment for factory and system acceptance testing
  • Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and sub-assemblies from one work or storage area to another as required
  • Collects and inputs information in specific systems for cost tracking purposes
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area
  • Assists more experienced Assembly Technicians as assigned and supports in training less experienced colleagues
