Job description

About the Role

Advosy is a locally owned home service company providing quality solutions across roofing, restoration, energy, HVAC, and other essential home services. We bring these services together under one organization to make homeownership simpler, more reliable, and easier to navigate

The Workplace Technology & IT Support Specialist owns Advosy’s day-to-day employee technology experience across all locations. This includes hardware, software, user access, networks, applications, conference-room technology, onboarding, offboarding, and technical support.

This is a hands-on, highly accountable role for someone who is technically capable, organized, resourceful, and able to work independently. We are looking for someone who can diagnose problems, understand the underlying cause, research solutions, and make sound technical decisions without needing to be micromanaged.

You will manage requests from intake through resolution, investigate root causes, document solutions, communicate proactively, and look for ways to prevent recurring problems.

The expectation is simple: own the problem, find the solution, communicate clearly, and follow through.

What You’ll Own
  • Administer Google Workspace, user accounts, permissions, and access.
  • Manage Apple devices, including iPads and tablets, through Apple Business Manager and a mobile device management platform.
  • Configure and maintain networking equipment and Wi-Fi using platforms such as Ubiquiti UniFi Network, UniFi Protect, and UniFi Access.
  • Support Windows and macOS endpoints using appropriate endpoint-management and security tools.
  • Manage device enrollment, application deployment, updates, security settings, restrictions, and remote troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate hardware, software, license, endpoint, and inventory records.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment, accounts, permissions, applications, and access.
  • Troubleshoot printers, conference-room technology, peripherals, and other workplace technology.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve technology processes.
Problem-Solving & Technical Expectations

You will be expected to:

  • Diagnose unfamiliar and complex technical issues independently.
  • Distinguish symptoms from root causes and address problems at the appropriate level.
  • Understand how devices, applications, identities, permissions, networks, security, and user workflows interact.
  • Use documentation, testing, research, logs, and available resources to investigate problems.
  • Evaluate solutions based on reliability, security, cost, and business impact.
  • Test solutions before broader implementation.
  • Clearly explain technical issues and recommendations to nontechnical employees.
  • Resolve issues independently when appropriate and Escalate with useful findings and recommended next steps.
  • Turn recurring issues and one‑time fixes into documented, repeatable processes.
  • Continuously look for ways to make technology more reliable, efficient, and easier for employees to use.
What Success Looks Like
  • Employees receive properly configured equipment and access on time.
  • Support requests are prioritized, documented, communicated, and driven to resolution.
  • Inventory and asset records are accurate and current.
  • Issues are investigated to an appropriate root‑cause level rather than repeatedly patched.
  • Recurring problems are reduced through preventive solutions.
  • Stakeholders receive timely updates about progress, delays, and risks.
  • Commitments are completed without repeated follow‑up.
  • Employees receive reliable, responsive, and professional technology support.
  • Documentation, standards, and processes continually improve.
  • You identify and address problems before they become larger business issues.
How You Work
  • Take ownership of outcomes, not just assigned tasks.
  • Work efficiently and independently without constant supervision or micromanagement.
  • Stay organized across multiple priorities, requests, projects, and deadlines.
  • Bring a recommended solution or next step when raising an issue.
  • Communicate delays, obstacles, and risks early.
  • Follow through and close the loop with stakeholders.
  • Use good judgment when prioritizing based on business impact, security, and urgency.
  • Stay curious and continue learning new technologies and systems.
  • Remain calm, professional, and helpful when supporting frustrated users.
  • Look for opportunities to improve systems and processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

At Advosy, we value Versatility, Win, and Growth. We want people who take ownership, help others succeed, solve problems, and continuously improve. You should be comfortable being trusted with responsibility and accountable for getting the job done.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands‑on IT support or workplace technology experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve unfamiliar or complex technical problems independently.
  • Strong understanding of endpoints, applications, networks, accounts, permissions, and security controls.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Windows and/or macOS, device provisioning, asset tracking, endpoint management, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
  • Familiarity with ticketing, documentation, inventory, or IT service‑management systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Wi‑Fi, networks, printers, conference‑room technology, software, and peripherals.
  • Demonstrated root‑cause analysis and practical solution development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and follow‑through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently without constant direction.
  • Ability to handle confidential company and employee information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multiple offices or locations.
  • Experience with mobile device management, endpoint management, identity management, SSO, MFA, or endpoint security.
  • Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi Network, UniFi Protect, and/or UniFi Access.
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, repairs, warranties, or technology purchases.
  • Experience creating IT procedures, onboarding checklists, and internal documentation.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, standardization, or process improvement.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Google Workspace, Apple, or Microsoft certifications.
Working Conditions
  • Hands‑on, employee‑facing role based at Advosy’s Mesa headquarters.
  • Occasional travel between Advosy locations.
  • Occasional after‑hours work for urgent outages, onboarding, maintenance, or equipment needs.
  • Ability to safely lift, install, and move typical IT equipment.
Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range is $65,000–$75,000 annually , depending on experience, technical expertise, and scope of responsibility.

Benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
