Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, and investigations across distribution sites in Oak Creek, WI. You will train associates, promote a proactive safety culture, and partner with leadership to implement preventive measures.

The role requires building relationships, enhancing safety with data-driven methods, and supporting emergency response at the site while maintaining high operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety field OR a bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background OR 6 months safety-related experience at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program development and audits with data-driven strategies.
• Investigate incidents and perform risk assessments to prevent injuries.
• Deliver safety training that resonates with associates and promotes culture of safety.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build cross‑functional safety partnerships.
• Translate safety data into narratives to drive engagement and improvements.
