Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Cromwell, CT is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, audits, investigations, and risk assessments, blending data-driven strategies with practical actions to protect employees.

You will train associates, advocate for wellbeing, analyze safety data to drive improvements, and support emergency response, while helping cultivate a proactive culture of safety across the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety field OR a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background OR 6 months safety experience at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience protecting confidentiality in security-related workplace matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and drive continuous improvement.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build cross-level partnerships.
• Respond to emergencies and assist site safety operations.
• Analyze safety data to inform improvements.
