Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, and incident investigations across facilities in Cromwell, CT. You will drive data-informed safety improvements while fostering a culture of safety and associate wellbeing.

The role requires strong OSHA knowledge, incident investigation expertise, and the ability to train staff. You will partner with leadership to embed best practices and respond to emergencies, with shifts including days and nights.

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA knowledge (29 CFR 1910).
• Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Ability to deliver safety training and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive safety programs using data-driven strategies and lead audits and investigations.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across levels to embed safety culture.
• Deliver engaging safety training and lead continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining efficiency.
• Support emergency response and safety operations across sites and shifts.
