Job summary

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health is seeking a Workplace Infectious Disease Prevention Nurse to join the Bureau of Disease Prevention and Management in Annapolis, MD. This full-time county contractual position offers an hourly wage of $35.28 and a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include ensuring OSHA/MOSH compliance, training staff on BBP, PPE, respiratory protection, TB and infection control, and meeting CDC/MDH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Experience writing policy and procedures and designing and presenting health education.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and MOSH regulations to prevent work-related illness.
• Provide training on BBP, PPE, respiratory protection, TB and infection control per DOH/CDC/MDH guidelines.
• Ensure all DOH employees meet health requirements and receive testing or training as needed.
• Travel to other Department of Health locations in Anne Arundel County to provide training and testing.
