Job summary

NextGen IT Labs is seeking a Workiva Workday Consultant to optimize connected reporting. The role focuses on integrating Workday data with Workiva Wdesk for SEC reporting, ESG, and annual reports, while ensuring audit trails and SOX controls.

The candidate will map data, build Wdata connections, configure linked statements, and partner with Finance/HR to automate Excel-based reporting. This is a remote, 6-month engagement with competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• 5 years Workiva Wdesk - mandatory.
• 2 years Workday Financials or HCM - understand Workday reports, calculated fields, and data structures.
• Proven experience integrating Workday → Workiva or Workday → external reporting tool.
• Knowledge of SEC / Financial Reporting or ESG frameworks.
• Workiva certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Map Workday Financials / HCM data to Workiva Wdesk for SEC Reporting, Annual Reports, and ESG.
• Build and maintain data links and Wdata connections between Workday and Workiva.
• Configure Workiva for linked financial statements, management reporting, and audit-ready reports.

Rate: $55 to 65/hr

Must-have: Workiva Workday [Both Mandatory]

Role:

Client is implementing/optimizing Workiva platform and needs a resource who understands both ecosystems. Workday is the source system, Workiva is the reporting & compliance platform.
