Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is seeking a supervisor to oversee cleaning staff and the daily operations at a property, ensuring tasks are completed to contract standards. You will coordinate porters, assign duties, and monitor quality and safety standards on site.

The role requires minimum 3 years in cleaning/janitorial work, supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and clear written and spoken English. Strong organizational skills and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the cleaning/janitorial field.
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must be able to write basic business documents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate employees, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of assigned property meets contractual specifications.
• Maintain oversight of porters and matrons; assign tasks as required.
• Perform quality control to conform with standards.
• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques.
• Ensure safety equipment and techniques are used correctly.
• Order and issue supplies and equipment.
• Check work tickets and manage general cleaning duties.

A Day In The Life

• Manage general cleaning.
