Job summary

Harvard Maintenance in Cincinnati seeks a supervisory cleaner to lead day-to-day janitorial teams and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across sites. You will assign tasks, train staff, and monitor compliance with contract specifications, driving overall service excellence.

The position requires a minimum of 3 years in cleaning/janitorial work, strong English communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the cleaning/janitorial field.
• Must be able to communicate in English and write basic business documents.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate employees, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of assigned property according to contractual specifications.
• Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments.
• Perform quality control to conform with Harvard standards and customer expectations.
• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques.
• Ensure proper safety equipment and techniques are utilized and adhered to.
• Order and issue supplies and equipment.
• Check work tickets and manage general equipment maintenance.
• Oversee general cleaning and daily operations.

A Day In The Life

• Maintain all oversite of porters and matrons.
• Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments.
• Perform quality control to conform with Harvard and customer standards.
• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques.
• Ensure proper safety equipment and techniques are utilized and adhered to.
• Order and issue supplies and equipment.
• Check work tickets.
• Responsible for general equipment maintenance.
• Manage general cleaning.

What you’ll need to be an Extraordinary Team Member:

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the cleaning/janitorial field.
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to communicate in English.Must be able to write basic business documents.
