Job Overview

ARC Steel Enterprises is looking for a motivated and experienced Shop Manager to lead daily operations in our commercial steel fabrication facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll supervise production activities, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain a safe and efficient shop environment. We're seeking someone with experience in a similar industry who's eager to take ownership and grow within a tight-knit, high-performing team.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Oversee shop floor operations while contributing to daily work.
• Supervise and train fabrication personnel, promoting safety and quality control.
• Schedule and track jobs to allocate labor, materials, and time efficiently.
• Ensure projects meet technical specs, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and field crews to align shop and site operations.
• Monitor equipment use and maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Implement and uphold safety procedures and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
• Understanding of AISC standards to ensure project completion per specifications.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a steel fabrication shop or related industrial environment.
• Proven leadership ability in a production or construction setting.
• Solid understanding of steel fabrication techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable working with fabrication machinery (press brakes, shears, welders, etc.).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and team-building ability.
• Fluent with Tekla PowerFab a plus
