Job summary

Performanceaircompressorsolutions in Tampa is seeking a Service Operations Manager to direct and coordinate all air compressor service activities at the Tampa Branch, including installations and field service.

You will schedule technicians, respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotes for projects, and monitor invoicing and WIP across air, installs, and CNG. You'll lead a team, partner with parts and HR as needed, and ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with company values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5–7 years of service/management experience (industrial experience preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to oversee an hourly technical workforce.
• Proven ability to manage scheduling, invoicing, and project quotations in a service operation.

Job description

Directs and coordinates activities concerned with air compressor,installations, and service operations for the Tampa Branch byperforming the following duties personally or through service technicians.

Essential Job Functions

• Schedule service technicians daily in an efficient manner;including scheduling/performing all periodic maintenance agreements
• Respond to incoming service-related calls and handle externalcustomer concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare quotations of all service related projects and follow up ona weekly basis. Projects include emergency calls, scheduled servicecalls, and preventative maintenance agreements.
• Perform all daily invoicing and manage the work in progress (WIP)report on a daily basis for air, installs, and CNG
• Ensure all Tampa branch service technicians have what they need toperform their jobs on schedule by working closely with the partsdepartment to make sure all parts are on hand for service jobs
• Input service data in business operating systems
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluationof direct reports and department goals
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the ACF'spolicies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:

• interviewing, hiring, and training employees
• planning, assigning, and directing work
• monitoring labor hours and managing time off benefits; approvingtime off and timecards in HR system (Paylocity)
• reporting safety/accident incidents and working with HR to complywith proper handling
• appraising performance; rewarding and taking corrective actionwhen appropriate
• addressing complaints and resolving problems; coaching direct reports

• Maintain effective productivity and grow the service departmentbusiness by meeting and exceeding department goals
• Promote a positive ACF culture by representing the company valuesof honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility and encouragingsynergy among all team members.

Additional Job Functions

• Collaborate with parts department manager to foster a congenialteam environment
• Utilize HR department as a resource to aid with employee relations,recruiting, safety, and career development to encourage retention andavoid employer liability
• May be required to conduct out of town business or attend training
• Evaluate and reestablish yearly work goals

Experience and Skills

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (includingphysical and work environment)

• Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel) anddatabase business systems
• Incorporate time management skills on a continuous basis
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
• Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well toorganizational and market changes
• Leadership skills are essential. Individual must be able to overseean hourly technical workforce (including remote employees)

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to perform work that exerts up to 20 lbs. of forceoccasionally and sit for extended periods of time
• Job functions will require frequent talking, walking, standing, and hearing
• Must have visual acuity to perform work on a computer, toinspect/utilize equipment, manage data, and operate forklift vehicles
• Ability to perform functions during occasional bending, stooping,reaching, grasping, feeling, climbing, balancing, lifting, kneeling,pushing, pulling and finger activities; Required to wear proper PPE(personal protective equipment) as applicable
• Must be able to work while being exposed to non-climate controlledenvironments, moving parts, driving, and loud noise levels
