Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services team in the United States, including Philadelphia. The Associate: CFO Services will develop deep functional capabilities, manage time-sensitive projects, and deliver actionable financial insights for portfolio companies.

Strong modeling and data analytics skills, along with CPA preference, are highly valued. The role requires 4–7+ years in related fields, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited 4‑year institution.
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time at short/immediate notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead PE performance improvement projects for portfolio companies, structuring work plans and driving to completion.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations to clients.
• Build financial models and cash flow projections; leverage data analytics to inform decisions.
