Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and an alternating 8am-12pm or 12pm-4pm Friday schedule, with occasional evenings for student outreach. This position offers 1 day per week of telework, according to organizational procedures.

The Workforce Solutions Fauquier Operations Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current students seeking information about Workforce Solutions programs and services at the Fauquier Campus. As enrollment advisors, they provide coaching, guidance, financial assistance navigation, and comprehensive support throughout the student lifecycle, from initial inquiry and enrollment through program completion. Serving students, employers, and community partners, Registration Specialists utilize customer relationship management and ticketing systems to deliver exceptional case management, ensuring timely communication, accurate records, and a seamless student experience. They maintain extensive knowledge of Workforce Solutions programs, enrollment requirements, workforce funding opportunities, and state financial assistance regulations to effectively counsel students and connect them with available resources. In addition to supporting student success, Registration Specialists play a critical role in driving enrollment growth by promoting programs, converting inquiries into enrollments, maximizing class participation, and fostering strong relationships with prospective and current students. Through their expertise, responsiveness, and commitment to outstanding customer service, they contribute to increased enrollment, student satisfaction, retention, and successful program completion outcomes.
As Operations Lead at the Fauquier Campus, this role is the point person for all things related to Workforce classes and registration and they work diligently to build working relationships with all departments on campus. They coordinate and ensure all is going smoothly for all Workforce classes on campus (books, room reservations, etc. for both Corporate Training and Open Enrollment classes). They also serve as the site supervisor for any present and future Operational staff.
The hiring range for this position is $45,739.00-$58,946.00. The position is classified staff and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies. For more information, please visit www.dhrm.virginia.gov.
