Job Description
The 12 Month Faculty of Certified Mission Critical Operator ( CMCO ) is a new full-time position with Workforce Solutions. This individual will teach CMCO classes and work directly with our Trades Program Managers to ensure quality instruction and student completion.
The successful candidate should be well versed in critical mission facilities maintenance with an emphasis in HVAC , Electrical and Plumbing with significant work experience in the field and a passion for helping others learn the craft. Knowledge of data center operations preferred. While teaching experience is highly beneficial, it is not required; however, our students expect to learn from a seasoned professional in the field.
The typical Workforce Solutions trades student may be a novice, have some limited knowledge, or be a highly experienced technician seeking a credential in their respective profession. The goal for our students is to complete their program of study and obtain the related credential. For some programs, students may have to attend multiple levels of classes. This position will work with instructors to ensure students stay with the program until they finish and obtain their credential.
Workforce classes are offered during the weekday, weekday evenings and weekends depending on the need. Faculty Positions: The salary range for the position is $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year. The position is a 12 month faculty role and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies and the Virginia Community College System.
