Job summary

Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. seeks a Workforce Services Director to lead the Highland County Center’s programs, activities, and staff.

The role involves partnering with businesses, colleges, high schools, tech centers and community groups to broaden learning opportunities for customers. The director oversees WIOA, CCMEP and related employment or job readiness initiatives contracted by HCCAO, ensuring alignment with county needs and agency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, education or related field.
• 3–5 years related experience in career counseling, employment or related field.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License and insurable under agency fleet policy.
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift over 40 pounds.

Workforce Services Director

This position is responsible for directing the programs, activities and personnel of the OhioMeansJobs Highland County Center. The Workforce Services Director is responsible for collaborating with businesses, colleges, high schools, technical education centers and community based organizations in Highland County to improve learning opportunities available to customers. They are also responsible for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) program, the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP), and any other employment or job readiness programs operated or contracted by HCCAO.

Preferred qualifications for this position are a Bachelor's degree in business management, education or related field with three (3) to five (5) years related experience in the career counseling, employment or related field. Compensation will be set in accordance with education and applicable experience.

Applicants must have compassion for county residents and the desire to be a part of an agency that is making a difference in our county. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Drivers License and be insurable under the agency fleet insurance policy and must be able to bend, stoop, and lift over 40 pounds.
