Job summary

Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. in Highland County is seeking a Youth Workforce Specialist to support Ohio Means Jobs services for youth ages 14-24.

The role includes case management, eligibility, assessments, and career counseling to connect education and employment outcomes. Travel to local schools and sites is expected, with opportunities to engage employers and community partners through programs like CCEMP and GRIT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, education, or related field preferred.
• Experience in social services, workforce development, or career counseling preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of local community, resources and businesses a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, enrollment, assessments, and case management
• Assist youth with job readiness, job search, and career planning
• Maintain required documentation and complete follow-up services
• Support workshops, employer engagement, and participant recruitment
• Provide customer service support at the OhioMeansJobs Center
• Travel to local schools and employment sites as needed
