Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking an Education and Training Instructor for our Bangor opportunity center to deliver Power of Possible (POP) and Life Skills workshops that prepare participants for work, training, and long‑term success.

You will lead ESOL ENGEN sessions, assist with benefits screenings, track progress, and collaborate with Career Advisors to align training with participant plans and next steps. This is a mission‑driven role focused on community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, workforce development, or related field preferred.
• Two years’ experience in adult education, workshop facilitation, or workforce development coaching.
• Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment is strongly preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver POP and Life Skills workshops as scheduled, ensuring consistency and curriculum standards.
• Assist participants with benefits screenings and applications for programs like LIHEAP, Head Start, and EITC.
• Lead ESOL ENGEN classroom sessions and provide guided language support and progress tracking.
• Maintain structured, high-energy sessions with clear expectations and active participant involvement.
• Collaborate with Career Advisors and Placement Specialists to align training with participant plans and next steps.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, workforce development, or related field preferred

Two years’ experience in adult education, workshop facilitation, or workforce development coaching

Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment
