Job summary

JetBlue in Long Island City, NY is seeking a Manager, Manpower Planning and Reporting to lead long-term staffing analytics and develop staffing models across Operations.

This role coordinates with Finance, IT, and airport teams to forecast manpower needs, build dashboards, and ensure staffing authorization levels comply with regulatory requirements, while supporting rosters and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years in related work.
• Five years of manpower planning or related work.
• Three years in Airports Planning or Technical Operations Planning.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource planning liaison between the Operational Team and other departments.
• Provide analytical and operational support to Operations leadership.
• Develop dashboard and database designs and coordinate with IT to implementations.
• Create and maintain department annual headcount staffing plans and 18‑month forecast.
• Coordinate with Finance, Network and Schedule Planning, and Operations to evaluate future schedules and staffing impacts.
• Ensure manpower authorization levels comply with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with JetBlue on training crewmembers and deployment of resources.
• Support profitability analyses and schedule operability.
• Maintain relationships with Airports, Network and Schedule Planning, Finance, IT, and Recruiting.
