Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Workforce Specialist to organize and advance workforce development programs, grants, and partnerships. You will coordinate outreach and meetings, manage trackers and dashboards, and support leadership with executive deliverables.

The role requires collaboration with schools, boards, and community organizations across the nation. The position emphasizes strong organization, proactive communication, and reliable follow-through.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Two+ years of experience in program coordination, administrative support, partnership coordination, or related role.
  • Experience supporting construction, workforce development, education, nonprofit, or community organizations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication with external partners and senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; SharePoint/Asana experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for partner meetings, events, and site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate BTN outreach with schools, colleges, trade programs, associations, workforce boards, and community organizations, tracking commitments through completion.
  • Research grant and funding opportunities; maintain an organized tracker of deadlines and submission status; assemble materials.
  • Prepare for stakeholder and leadership meetings: schedules, agendas, briefing materials, notes, and follow-up items.
  • Support logistics for career fairs, school visits, partner site tours, apprenticeship events, and launches.
  • Convert meeting outcomes into tracked action items; follow up with owners to ensure completion.
  • Maintain the Workforce Intelligence knowledge repository and ensure records are current and accessible.
  • Build trackers, dashboards, and status reports to give leadership visibility into activity.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for external partners; ensure a positive Power Design experience.
  • Assist the Director of Workforce Intelligence with correspondence, calendar coordination, research, and executive deliverables.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the function grows.
