Job summary

The State of Indiana's Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is seeking a leader to administer Wagner-Peyser Employment Services, guiding job seekers with career guidance, skill assessments, and labor market data while coordinating with regional teams to place qualified candidates with local employers.

This supervisory role manages Wagner-Peyser staff, oversees hiring processes, enforces performance reviews, and delivers coaching and training.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or HSE required.
2+ years of experience in customer service preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is desirable.

Responsibilities

Reach out to employers with qualified WorkOne candidates to fill openings.
Pre-screen candidates and collaborate with regional employers for staffing.
Promote hiring of talent including Veterans, vocational rehabilitation, adult education, youth, and other groups.
Gather applicant qualifications, education, and employment barriers.
Assist clients with job searching and resume building activities.
Explain available services and make referrals to appropriate programs.
