Summary

Under the general supervision of the department leadership, the Program Specialist coordinates the day-to-day operations of workforce development’s youth employment programs across Johns Hopkins Medicine and serves as a central point of contact for students, supervisors, internal departments, and community partners, ensuring efficient program operations, accurate data management, and a high-quality experience for all participants. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with data tracking and reporting, and the ability to manage multiple workflows and stakeholders simultaneously.

Essential Functions
  • Provides assistance and support to the department leadership and support staff.
  • Assists with strategic projects/programs and events related to the department’s initiatives.
  • Contributes to department programs and initiatives.
  • Creates and manages communications related to the department project/program activities.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels within Johns Hopkins Medicine on project/program activities.
  • Create and distribute reports and agendas, and maintain a system for project/program milestones/deliverables.
  • Attend internal/external meetings related to departmental projects/programs.
  • Perform tasks necessary for maintenance and improvement of project/programs within the department.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience. One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience, or one year of relevant professional‑level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

Work Experience

Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience.

Salary Range: $26.51/hour - $43.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility
