Job summary

Career Team in North Central Texas seeks a Workforce Development Specialist to deliver Employer Services under WPA to jobseekers and employers in Workforce Solutions offices.

You will build relationships with local businesses, coordinate job postings, recruit and refer candidates, plan events, and provide career planning guidance to help job seekers overcome barriers and achieve placement.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and 2 years of full-time experience in recruiting, social work, case management, or workforce development.
• Strong understanding of workforce solutions and employer engagement practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with businesses.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with local businesses through outreach.
• Assist employers with WorkinTexas.com registration and job postings.
• Plan and execute recruiting and hiring events for employers and job seekers.
• Deliver presentations about employment opportunities and labor market information.
• Record and document services and ensure data accuracy in systems.
