Job description

The Sitka Campus Workforce Development Director provides critical operational leadership and strategic support to drive the success, capacity, and expansion of career and technical education (CTE) initiatives at the UAS Sitka Campus. Serving as the operational engine for core workforce programs—specifically Applied Fisheries, Welding, and Health Sciences—this position directly advances the goals of the Technical Vocational Education Program (TVEP) by maximizing program capacity, facilitating industry certifications, and ensuring seamless student pathways.

This role is designed to empower program faculty and staff by managing operational logistics, resource allocation, and institutional partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and five years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Sitka campus of the University of Southeast. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
