Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Familiarity with local communities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Manages a caseload of participants and provides counseling and mentoring.
• Assesses participant competencies, work history, education, skills and abilities to identify barriers.
• Conducts regular meetings for job search, education, retention and readiness.
• Creates individualized employment plans and connects participants to services.
• Maintains information on resources and employers and tracks progress.
• Ensures attendance and employment retention goals and notifies agencies of changes.
• Delivers information on training and jobs leading to advancement.
• Promotes self-sufficiency through ongoing case management and progress monitoring.
