Job summary

The Worker is seeking a Workforce Expert who will guide and support individuals on their employment journey, turning resumes into opportunities and unemployment into progress. You’ll collaborate with the Workforce Development Program Manager to advance our mission.

Ideal candidates are fluent communicators, organized, and capable of independent action. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites (evenings/weekends) are required; bilingual Spanish is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong advocacy skills navigating community resources.
• Judgment-free approach with diverse populations.
• Own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance/registration.
• Flexibility to travel between sites and work evenings/weekends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Bonus points if bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with resumes, mock interviews, job leads and resources.
• Help clients develop and follow personalized employment plans.
• Provide ongoing encouragement and accountability through regular check-ins.
• Build relationships with community partners and local employers.
• Attend job fairs, networking events, and community meetings.
• Use trauma-informed, person-centered approach with dignity and respect.
• Document case notes and outcome tracking accurately.
• Audit resources monthly with the Workforce Development Program Manager.
