Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks a dedicated career advisor to build one-on-one client relationships, assess goals, and guide participants through career pathways. You will conduct orientation, provide case management, and monitor progress toward sustainable employment within contract guidelines.

The role involves leading workshops, coordinating training, and documenting progress while prioritizing participant outcomes and data accuracy. Fluency in Spanish/English is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in career advisement and development, case management, customer service, or similar role assisting individuals.
• Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
• Type a minimum of 35 WPM
• Demonstrated telephone, computer, and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in education, social services, communications
• Bilingual Spanish/English communications skills are required
• Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts

Responsibilities

• Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with clients to aid in eliminating challenges that hinder employment.
• Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up to support job retention and career progression.
• Conduct new customer orientation including introduction to career pathway opportunities and in-demand industries.
• Help ensure positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract, focusing on placement into sustainable employment.
• Facilitate professional development workshops on job readiness, career exploration, and high-demand occupations.
• Ensure participants follow through with planned activities outlined in contract and track progress.
• Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure post-placement contacts are made as required.
• Create solutions to attendance problems and address barriers to participation in training and employment.
• Manage programs including workshops, grants issuance, and collection of placement data.
• Oversee program offerings of job preparation workshops to ensure quality and clear next steps.
