Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software professional to develop and enhance workflow services, APIs, and automation components. You will implement stories using established architecture and contribute to BPMN configurations and client integrations.

The role covers building integrations, supporting deployment, and upholding coding standards within an Agile team. Prior experience with low-code platforms or Open BPM is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of software development or automation experience.
• Experience with at least one programming language.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, Git and SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance workflow services, workers, APIs, connectors and reusable platform components.
• Implement assigned user stories using established architecture and delivery practices.
• Configure BPMN processes, forms, business rules, human tasks and integration points.
• Support workflow deployment, versioning, monitoring and technical documentation.
• Contribute to automation solutions using case management, business rules or event-driven workflows.
• Build and test integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, messaging systems and cloud services.
• Apply REST API, JSON and basic event-driven integration patterns.
• Assist with reusable connectors and integration components for multiple business solutions.
• Support intelligent automation capabilities involving AI services, document processing or automation platforms.
• Write maintainable code, unit tests and supporting technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies and team knowledge-sharing activities.
• Support CI/CD, deployment, debugging and defect resolution.
• Follow enterprise standards for security, quality, compliance and operational support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 1-3 years of software development, integration, application configuration or automation experience
• Experience with at least one programming language or workflow/low-code platform
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, Git and software development lifecycle practices
• Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in an Agile team environment
• Experience, academic exposure, certification, internship or project work with at least one listed Open BPM & Orchestration Platform or Low-Code Platform
• Experience with at least one programming language: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript or Node.js
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML and OpenAPI
• Exposure to at least one messaging/event-streaming technology preferred
• Exposure to cloud-native platforms or development ecosystems preferred
• Experience or academic exposure to listed data technologies
• AI and intelligent automation exposure preferred
• Preferred industry experience in banking, financial services, capital markets, insurance, healthcare, public sector or other highly regulated industries
