Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to design and develop governed low-code applications and workflows for Brokerage and Trust domains. The role emphasizes Python development, SQL Server integration, and Azure services, with a focus on governance, access control, and audit trails.

You will model end-to-end workflows, implement data transformation and validation, and collaborate with product, data owners, risk partners, and SMEs to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Job description

Design and develop governed low-code applications, workflow components, forms, work queues, business rules, notifications and operational dashboards for Brokerage and Trust
Model end-to-end workflows covering intake, validation, classification, routing, prioritization, assignment, service levels, approvals, exception handling, escalation, completion, and closure
Design ontology objects, properties, relationships, actions, and lifecycle states for Wealth business concepts
Use Python for data transformation, validation, enrichment, rule execution, reconciliation, automation, testing utilities and supporting services
Integrate workflow and ontology solutions with .NET/C# services, SQL Server, Azure PaaS, APIs, messaging, SFTP, vendor platforms and enterprise data sources
Implement fine-grained access controls, entitlements, segregation of duties, data masking, approval authority and action permissions
Create auditable processing with state transitions, decision rationale, timestamps, ownership, source references, evidence and immutable history
Build reusable components, ontology patterns, workflow templates and engineering standards
Develop automated tests and support repeatable deployment and environment promotion
Instrument applications and workflows with logging, metrics, queue ageing, throughput, exception, service-level and control-breach monitoring
Create operational runbooks and support documentation
Partner with product, operations, data owners, risk partners and subject-matter experts
Assess when low code is appropriate versus professionally coded .NET/C#, Python or Azure services
Troubleshoot production issues, complete root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Lead design and code reviews, mentor junior engineers and contribute to Wealth Technology governance

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training
In-depth knowledge of information systems
Ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
Professional low-code application, workflow, and automation delivery with ALM, reusable components, testing, support, and governance
Knowledge of workflow and casework concepts including process states, work queues, assignment, SLAs, approvals, escalations, exceptions, human tasks, controls, evidence, and operational measurement
Ontology modelling knowledge covering business objects, properties, relationships, actions, lifecycle states, semantics, lineage, permissions, and reuse
Production-quality Python development, including transformation, validation, enrichment, automation, rules, services, testing, packaging, logging, security, and maintainability
SQL Server and relational data knowledge, including querying, data quality, reconciliation, authoritative sources, and integrations
Ability to build or collaborate on .NET/C# APIs and services
Microsoft Azure knowledge, including identity, PaaS, APIs, messaging, secrets, monitoring, storage, and deployment
Integration experience with APIs, messaging, batch, and SFTP interfaces
Knowledge of role- and attribute-based access, action permissions, segregation of duties, sensitive-data handling, audit history, and evidence generation
Knowledge of Brokerage and Trust concepts
English language fluency required
