Job summary

Jobtailor in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior Engineering Leader to drive enterprise-scale workflow and orchestration platforms. You will guide teams, own delivery planning, and partner with architects, product owners, security and operations to ensure scalable, secure, multi-tenant solutions.

You will promote BPMN-based automation, event-driven patterns, DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, and cloud-native service standards, while coaching engineers across workflow and platform disciplines and overseeing

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
10+ years of software engineering, enterprise application delivery or platform engineering experience
3+ years of engineering management, delivery leadership or equivalent team leadership experience
Experience leading enterprise-scale distributed-system or automation initiatives in Agile environments
Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and DMN concepts
Knowledge of case management and human task management
Experience with cloud-native services and platforms
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker in production environments
Experience with CI/CD tooling and IaC practices
Security, compliance and multi-tenant architecture awareness

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery and evolution of enterprise-scale workflow and orchestration platforms
Guide teams developing reusable workflow components, connector frameworks, accelerators, SDKs and platform services
Oversee workflow lifecycle capabilities including deployment, versioning, monitoring, auditing and governance
Promote BPMN-based process automation, case management, business rules and event-driven workflow patterns
Partner with architects and senior engineers on scalable, secure and multi-tenant platform designs
Lead, coach and develop engineers across workflow, integration, automation and platform disciplines
Own delivery planning, resource alignment, dependencies, risks, quality and executive communications
Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architecture, security and operations teams
Support hiring, onboarding, performance coaching and career development
Drive Agile execution, continuous improvement and predictable delivery outcomes
Establish engineering standards for cloud-native services, APIs, event-driven systems and distributed platforms
Promote DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability and platform reliability practices
Provide oversight through architecture reviews, design reviews and technical governance forums
Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, compliance and operational excellence

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline

Experience leading enterprise-scale distributed-system or automation initiatives in Agile environments
Ability to manage technical dependencies, stakeholder expectations and delivery risks
Hands-on or delivery leadership experience with at least one listed workflow, BPM, orchestration or low-code platform
Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and DMN concepts
Knowledge of case management and human task management
Knowledge of workflow orchestration and business rules management
Knowledge of process governance and workflow versioning
Knowledge of event correlation, long-running transactions and compensation patterns
Experience with Java, Python, Node.js or Go ecosystems
Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, gRPC and OpenAPI
Experience with event-driven architecture and enterprise integration patterns
Experience with at least one listed messaging or event-streaming technology
Leadership or delivery experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker
Experience with Terraform, Helm or ArgoCD
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
Experience overseeing solutions using listed relational or NoSQL data technologies
Preferred: experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, MCP, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, ABBYY, intelligent document processing or OCR solutions
Preferred industry experience in banking, financial services, capital markets, insurance, healthcare, public sector or other highly regulated industries
