Job summary

Atlas is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer for a contract engagement to streamline product operations in the life sciences domain. You will work directly with product teams to map friction points, design automation, and implement AI-assisted workflows that drive measurable operational value.

The role balances workflow automation, AI-assisted workflows, and enterprise tooling administration across Aha!, Jira, Confluence, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of engineering, workflow automation, or systems integration experience.
• Hands-on experience building API-based integrations and reporting pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise tools such as Aha!, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language and REST APIs.
• Experience administering SaaS/product management and DevOps platforms at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Observe product teams to identify workflow friction and opportunities for automation.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and journey-mapping sessions using Miro.
• Translate operational challenges into concrete, buildable technical solutions.
• Deliver iterative solutions alongside product teams rather than centralized programs.
• Design, build, test, and maintain workflow automations for planning and reporting.
• Design AI-assisted workflows supporting product, delivery, and operations.
• Leverage Microsoft Copilot and governance for AI-enabled productivity.
• Build and maintain integrations across Aha!, Jira, Confluence, and related platforms.
• Develop API-based data exchanges with proper error handling and monitoring.
• Support configuration, administration, and health of the product tooling ecosystem.
• Create reusable patterns, templates, and automation components.
• Build data and reporting pipelines to improve reliability of product insights.
• Document workflows and configurations in Confluence; collaborate via Teams.
• Measure impact and prioritize future friction-reduction opportunities.
• Apply security, access, and governance requirements in regulated environments.
