Travelers in Metairie, LA seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation claims professional to manage low-to-moderate complexity claims through to resolution. You will coordinate medical and indemnity positions, return-to-work strategies, and timely documentation.

The role requires collaboration with internal nurse resources, medical and legal teams, and the ability to pursue structured settlements or subrogation when appropriate. Health benefits are offered.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Workers' Compensation claim handling experience or completion of WC trainee program.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain file resolutions to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of state WC processes and settlements.
• Ability to work with medical providers and legal resources.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate claims to determine compensability and policy coverage.
• Establish and update reserves; determine causal relations of medical conditions.
• Manage files with timely contact and documentation to reach resolution.
• Collaborate with medical and legal resources to pursue settlement opportunities.
• Coordinate with Medical Case Manager for return-to-work strategies.
• Pursue offset opportunities, evaluate fraud indicators, and close or reassign files.
• Prepare state filings and letters within statutory limits; assist with litigation as needed.
• Negotiate settlements within authority; consider structured settlements when appropriate.
