Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney in New Jersey with 8+ years of experience to manage a full caseload and represent employers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.

The position offers hybrid flexibility, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits. The candidate will conduct depositions, draft legal documents, and negotiate settlements with claims adjusters while staying current on evolving laws.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

1. Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity.
2. Prepare legal documents and reports with a high level of accuracy.
3. Conduct depositions of claimants, medical personnel, and other relevant parties.
4. Represent employers and carriers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
5. Conduct and direct legal research to stay updated on current workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active member in good standing with the State Bar.
3. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
4. Proven track record in conducting depositions and trials.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and tasks.
7. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
