The role involves drafting and filing documents, preparing claims for hearings, reviewing medical records, and assisting in depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while supporting attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ paralegal experience in a law firm or other legal setting.
• Strong working knowledge in the application of Microsoft Office programs.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Sound judgment, including the ability to identify and elevate issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft claim summary correspondence for IMEs.
• Files documents with the courts electronically.
• Prepare claims for administrative hearings.
• Drafts documents and filings.
• Request and review medical records.
• Assists in deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with rules and procedures of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation as well as the Industrial Commission of Ohio.
