Thomas Talent Network, LLC seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in a Cleveland law office. This role requires knowledge of Ohio workers' compensation procedures and the ability to independently manage claims, filings, and deadlines.

The position is full-time with hybrid work arrangements. Compensation ranges from $72,000 to $105,000 per year, plus benefits including insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least three years of paralegal experience in a law firm or legal setting.
• Working knowledge of Ohio BWC and Industrial Commission procedures.
• Paralegal certificate or related degree preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage priorities and time-sensitive assignments.
• Sound judgment and proactive attorney support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workers' compensation claims for administrative hearings.
• Draft pleadings, claim summaries and other legal documents.
• Request, organize and review medical records.
• Coordinate independent medical examinations and summaries.
• Monitor case activity, filing requirements and deadlines.
• Submit documents electronically to courts and agencies.
• Proofread filings for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings and trials.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients and providers.
• Identify potential issues and escalate appropriately.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who understands Ohio workers' compensation procedures and can independently manage claims, filings, and deadlines.

Full-Time, Direct Hire. Hybrid.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare workers' compensation claims for administrative hearings
• Draft pleadings, claim summaries, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Request, organize, and review medical records
• Coordinate independent medical examinations and prepare summary correspondence
• Monitor case activity, filing requirements, and critical deadlines
• Submit documents electronically to courts and administrative agencies
• Proofread filings for accuracy and compliance with applicable rules
• Assist with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and outside parties
• Identify potential issues and elevate them appropriately

Qualifications:

• At least three years of paralegal experience in a law firm or other legal setting
• Working knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and Industrial Commission of Ohio procedures
• Paralegal certificate, related degree, or bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
