Qualifications

• At least three years of paralegal experience in a law firm or other legal setting.
• Working knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and Industrial Commission of Ohio procedures.
• Paralegal certificate, related degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and complete time-sensitive assignments.
• Sound judgment and a proactive approach to attorney support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workers' compensation claims for administrative hearings.
• Draft pleadings, claim summaries, correspondence and other legal documents.

• Monitor case activity, filing requirements and critical deadlines.

• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, medical providers and outside parties.
