Confidential Employer in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to support California workers' compensation cases alongside attorneys. The role focuses on case prep, filings, scheduling, and coordinating AME/QME processes.

You will draft pleadings, file documents electronically, manage case files, and liaise with clients and court personnel. On-site work with a collaborative team offers growth and professional development in a supportive environment.

Formación

• 1+ years of California workers' compensation legal support experience required.
• Experience supporting workers' compensation attorneys on the applicant or defense side.
• Familiarity with EAMS, workers' compensation filings, and legal documentation preferred.
• Strong organizational, written communication, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management tools.
• On-site in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsabilidades

• Support attorneys with California workers' compensation case preparation, documentation, and daily legal tasks.
• Draft and format pleadings, petitions, correspondence, settlement documents, and other legal filings.
• Prepare and electronically file documents through EAMS and other applicable filing systems.
• Coordinate AME/QME appointments, medical records requests, and communication with medical providers.
• Organize case files, track statutory deadlines, and maintain accurate case records.
• Assist with scheduling hearings, depositions, attorney calendars, and client meetings.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure cases move forward efficiently.
