Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a senior workers’ compensation specialist to guide complex claims, mentor staff, and ensure policy interpretation and program analytics. You will lead escalation efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop dashboards for OHS and HR leadership.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, process improvements, and collaboration with TPA/vendor teams while supporting return-to-work discussions and accommodations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3 years of progressive workers’ compensation experience.
• Experience with complex multi-state workers’ compensation programs.
• Experience with case management technology.
• Experience with reporting, analytics, and project leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations and claim management.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and dashboard development skills.
• Strong project management, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to generate insights from data.
• Strong knowledge of ADA and workers’ compensation interplay.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, high-risk, litigated, and sensitive workers’ compensation claims.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries for OHS and HR leadership.
• Analyze workers’ compensation claim data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with OHS as needed.
• Lead cross-functional projects focused on claim cost mitigation, return-to-work optimization, and process improvement.
• Assist with TPA and broker vendor management and facilitate claim review meetings.
• Support complex accommodation, return-to-work, and transitional duty discussions.
