Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate to defend clients in NY Workers' Compensation proceedings and preside over hearings. You will draft motions and manage discovery, developing case strategies while maintaining client relationships.

The role supports a flexible hybrid work arrangement and offers mentorship, professional development, and a focus on client service and ethical practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in New York.
• 2–8 years of workers' compensation or insurance defense experience.
• Familiarity with NYS Workers' Compensation Law and regulations.
• Experience with WCB hearings, medical depositions, and Workers' Compensation appeals.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and client-service orientation.
• Professional demeanor and ethical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in courtroom hearings before the NY Workers' Compensation Board.
• Prepare and file motions, depositions, and appeals.
• Manage caseload independently while meeting deadlines.
• Advise clients with strategic defense and case planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a hybrid office environment.
