Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking a New Jersey Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage claims from assignment through resolution. You will investigate claims, evaluate compensability, coordinate with medical providers and legal partners, manage reserves, and help drive timely resolutions primarily.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (2 days remote / 3 in-office) with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and salary between $50,000 and $80,000, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of NJ loss time workers' compensation experience including litigated claims handling.
• Strong investigation, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Licensing: active adjuster license or willingness to obtain and maintain state licenses with company support.

• Licensing Requirement: Candidates must hold an active adjuster license or be willing and able to obtain and maintain all required state licenses. The company will support the licensing process, including cost, training and compliance with ongoing continuing education requirements.

Salary $50,000 - $80,000

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good-faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.

This role may be based out of one of the following locations:

New York, NY; Parsippany, NJ; Conshohocken, PA; Wilkes-Barre, PA; Alpharetta, GA; Rosemont, IL; Plano, TX; and Scottsdale, AZ.
