Job summary

Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP, a civil defense litigation firm with offices across California, seeks an attorney to join the Workers’ Compensation practice group. This role can be based in San Diego or other California offices including Walnut Creek, Los Angeles, Sacramento or Irvine.

The attorney will handle all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation, take depositions, appear before the WCAB, and manage cases at all levels of complexity.

Qualifications

• Experience in WC on either the defense or applicant side.
• Familiarity with the WCAB procedures and the California Workers’ Compensation laws.

• Communicate effectively with clients.
• Develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases.
• Negotiate and settle cases-in-chief as well as liens.

This position can be in either our San Diego office or our other offices in Walnut Creek, Los Angeles, Sacramento or Irvine.

Annual base salary: $155,000 to $195,000, set by demonstrated ability and level of responsibility rather than tenure, plus a $20,000 annual bonus for attorneys who exceed the firm’s quarterly billable hour requirements.
