Job summary

Law Offices of Bob Nehora seeks a Workers’ Compensation Attorney with at least 1 year of California workers’ compensation experience to join our Oakland office. The role includes handling a full caseload, leading a team of case managers, and advancing litigation skills in a collaborative, in-office setting.

The attorney will negotiate settlements, appear at hearings, and ensure compliance with WCAB procedures while delivering strong client advocacy.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.
• Minimum 1 year of workers’ compensation experience.
• Strong knowledge of WCAB procedures and California labor code.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution.
• Negotiate settlements of active cases.
• Appear at hearings, conferences, depositions, and trials as required.
• Supervise and provide direction to a team of case managers.
• Review case manager work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper case progression.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
• Evaluate cases and lead settlement negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with WCAB procedures, deadlines, and internal workflows.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Workers’ Compensation Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in California workers’ compensation law. This role is based in-office in Oakland and includes both case handling responsibilities and oversight of a team of case managers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to expand into a leadership role while continuing to develop litigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution
