Job summary

Corvia Consulting in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with 1–3 years of California experience to join our growing team in-office with a hybrid option after onboarding.

You will manage California WC defense matters, represent employers and carriers, attend hearings before WCAB, draft pleadings, and develop case strategies while collaborating with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 1–3 years of California workers' compensation defense experience.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of California workers' compensation defense matters.
• Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators throughout the litigation process.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and WCAB conferences.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other case-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and provide client updates and guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Our growing law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to grow their career in a supportive, team-oriented environment while gaining hands-on litigation experience.

This position is primarily in-office, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of California workers' compensation defense matters.
  
• Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators throughout the litigation process.
  
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
